A COMMONWEALTH Bank tech glitch has stopped customers from withdrawing money from ATMs and receiving payments into their bank accounts.
The bank confirmed there had been a problem on Wednesday morning in a Tweet, saying they were working to rectify “delays in processing of some payments and transfers”.
A Commonwealth Bank spokesman told News Corp the bank had started to process payments and transfers for customers affected by the delay and would continue to process outstanding payments “as a matter of priority”.
Update to customers: we have started to process payments and transfers for customers affected by the delay in payments.

“Commonwealth Bank apologises to all our customers and reassured we are working to resolve this as quickly as we can,” the spokesman said.
Customers who didn’t receive payments vented their frustration over Twitter, asking the bank to resolve the issue immediately.
#commonwealthbank you #seriously #disappoint and #disrupt. Get your act together immediately fix your incoming payments into our acc!

It’s believed the glitch has affected Centrelink customers too, who say they haven’t received regular payments into their accounts.
@bethrajohnston Please check with your bank first – we know Commonwealth Bank is experiencing delays. Let us know how you go.
